Operation: Opening Act: Limited Edition Toys
Opening TFNation 2017 at 12:30 on Friday are the Mapes Brothers, Steve and Dave, as they take us through their fifteen-year mission of documenting and researching the rare Campaign Prize figures known as the Lucky Draw Transformers.
This special ninety-minute panel will take you through the thirty-four-year history of campaign prizes, from the first Diaclone releases in 1983 to the latest Last Knight statue released in July 2017.
Learn about the history of prize campaigns, how they take place and their own personal experiences of entering the competitions and their struggle to bring facts to a world of rumours.
The panel will take place at 12:30 pm on Friday 11th August in the Panel Room. Whether you’re a fan of limited edition figures, you like shiny objects or are just waiting around for something to do, we’d encourage you to pop-along and join us in the first panel of 2017.
